Career-related website: Agromet

 Checking to others  post I discovered that I was wrong with my previous post so please, ignore it 馃ぃ
Well, I choose  the website Agromet (http://agromet.inia.cl/) I must to admite that I visit this website just  when I must to do some work in my class hihi, I like very much this website because you can get data from different places of regions of Chile, this website have the information about temperatures,  direction of the wind, relative humidity, precipitation,  solar radiation, etc, all this information  is captured in weather stations during all the time (24/7) also you can download the information in simple tables, in graphics, or excel.
This data are very useful in agronomy, especially temperatures  and precipitation, temperatures allows you to estimate different processes  in plants like the flowering and maturity of the plants this helps to plan your crops for estimated planting dates and precipitation is useful to do water balances in soils that provide water to plants, these are some examples of application to agronomy thanks to the available data  in the website of agromet (:

M y travel If I could choose a place to travel, I choose Italy, because I love the food and pasta, I would like eat a real pasta 100% italian and learn about cousine, drinks and different foods preparations, besides like every country, the climate have a influence on vegetation very interestering and special. A good application for an agronomist: Canopeo When I was in my second year of university, I have a course called "Crop fertilization" in this course the teacher presented us an application to use it in a semestral work, in this work we  had to evaluate the  effects of different fertilizer for the same vegetable (radish), so with this application we saw the leaf growth, you only have to stand up in front of the crop and take a picture from above it (always in the same height) you will see something similar to the photo, the application captures the green leaves and indicates you the percentage of leaf  coverage. This is a good application for an agronomist because you can follow the growth of your crops and compare different areas, but it has their flaws too because if are some herbs that don´t belong to your crop the application can´t distinguish between the herbs and your crop, so in this case, the application can indicate a higher percentage because is consideri...

Why did you choose Agronomic Engineering? When I was a child I dreamed with being free as Tarzan, living in a forest and hang up from the trees <3 Then, when I grow up I thought in study some career related to health, I wanted to work in a public hospital and treat people well, but I discovered that when I see blood I feel so anguish and sad  for the pain of others :( I thought that I like very much the biology especially the plants, I love to see how they grow up and discover things about them, I was really sure that I had to follow what I loved so I entered in Universidad de Chile in 2016, I learned a lot in this time I have tired a lot but when I look back I feel that it has been a good time investmen. I would like to work on investigation discovering the mechanims and operation of plants, every time that I learn something new about them or their answers and interactions with the enviroment I feel like butterflies in my stomach like when you fall in love <3 plants ...
